American Bigotry: Now It’s Personal

No time in American history is untouched by our nation’s struggle with racial bigotry. But this time, it’s personal. In the past, during the time I was growing up in the Jim Crow South of legal racial segregation, white Americans could be consoled by the fact that bigotry was supported by laws.
